Final minute
Ruud van Nistelrooy could not make his mark yet, as he came on as a substitute in the last minute. His new club HSV did not enjoy a pleasant afternoon in Cologne: they led 1-3 with fifteen minutes remaining but were held to a 3-3 draw after conceding an 88th-minute equaliser. PSV will take on HSV in Hamburg on Thursday 18 February. Fred Rutten’s team will play host to the Germans in the return leg at the Philips Stadium one week later.
