One day after the Sparta Prague game, Fred Rutten looked ahead to Sunday’s domestic league game at RKC Waalwijk. Ibrahim Afellay is ruled out through suspension and Otman Bakkal, who limped off the pitch last night with a suspected ankle injury, could miss out for PSV when they travel to Waalwijk.Fred Rutten held his weekly press briefing at De Herdgang on Friday afternoon.

Bakkal limped off the pitch on the hour mark during PSV´s 1-0 win over Sparta Prague last night with a suspected ankle injury. “His ankle is extremely swollen and he is doubtful for Sunday, but we have one day left to take a decision”, said Rutten at weekly press briefing at De Herdgang on Friday afternoon. Other than that, the players came through Thursday’s game unscathed. Dirk Marcellis and Stijn Wuytens could be called up to replace Afellay and Bakkal, according to Rutten, who celebrates his birthday tomorrow. PSV will train at De Herdgang training centre tomorrow before they organise a training camp to prepare Sunday’s clash against RKC Waalwijk. Kick-off time: 14.30. “We must not drop any points there”, concluded Rutten.
