On Wednesday afternoon, PSV head coach Fred Rutten spoke with the media for the first time in 2012, about the second part of the 2011/12 season. “We need to focus on the next match and our winter training camp in Spain. It’s important that the team continues to make progress and it takes hard work for an individual player to become better”, said Rutten.

Training camp

“We need to focus on the opening match of the second part of the campaign. We’ll go to Spain next week to prepare for the second part of the 2011/12 season. It’s important that the team continues to make progress and it takes hard work for an individual player to become better”, said Rutten at De Herdgang training facilities.

PSV

One hundred percent dedication and commitment

For the first time, Rutten explained his decision to part company with PSV at the end of the season, when his contract expires. ”I should make one thing clear. I am a true professional and won’t be preoccupied with my future the next few months. I will show one hundred percent dedication and commitment to PSV. I’ve been working hard for twenty years and taking a sabbatical may be an option. You can take it from me that I haven’t received any offers yet. I’m an ambitious man. I thought it was only a matter of respect to inform the club timely that I would leave at the end of the season. PSV have always been good to me like I’ve been to the club. There’s plenty of time left for PSV to find a new head coach”, concluded Rutten.
