PSV players brought a smile to the faces of young children on a visit to five hospitals in the community on Monday afternoon. They chatted with the children and their parents, handing out gifts amongst the sick patients. The players split into small groups and visited children and their families at hospitals in Eindhoven, Veldhoven, Geldrop, Den Bosch and Nijmegen.

Fight against Cancer

The visit is an annual event. Each year, PSV players take time out to visit a number of hospitals in the month of December. PSV has been partner of KWF Fight against Cancer since 2005 and supports the research into cancers affecting young children. The University Medical Centre in Nijmegen is a leading academic centre with expertise in medical science and healthcare, where young children receive outstanding treatment. The players split into small groups so they could visit four more hospitals where children stay for a short period. “It was an enjoyable visit. We want to bring a bit of joy and cheer up these young patients and their parents with our goodwill visit. I hope we've made someone's day”, said Timmy Simons, who went to the Catharina Hospital in Eindhoven. The visits had been organised by PSV in the community in co-operation with the five hospitals and Mattel.
