PAOK and 1. FC Union Berlin added to pre-season programme
PSV confirmed pre-season friendlies against PAOK and Union Berlin.
Thessaloniki and Berlin
PSV will fly to Greece in the morning on 26 July to play a friendly against PAOK at the Toumba Stadium. The encounter will kick off at 21.00. PAOK, who secured a third place finish in the Greek league last season, met PSV in a UEFA Cup tie in the 2001/02 season. On Friday, July 27, PSV will travel from Thessaloniki to Berlin, where they face 1. FC Union Berlin at the Stadion an der alten Försterei on Sunday, July 29, with a 14.30 kick-off. The Second Bundesliga club claimed a seventh-place finish last season. PSV will return to Eindhoven straight after the match in the German capital.
Pre-season friendly schedule
PSV kicked off their pre-season friendly campaign with a 0-11 win over amateurs AZSV Aalten on Wednesday. They will continue their preparations for the 2012/13 season with a trip to amateurs RKSV Nuenen on Saturday,7 July; kick off at 16.30. PSV will travel to Germany on Wednesday, July 11, to face 3. Liga side Rot-Weiß Oberhausen at the Niederrhein Stadium, with a 19.00 kick-off. Their next opponent is Belgian First Division side KRC Genk, who play host to PSV on their annual Fan Day at the Cristal Arena on Sunday, 15 July, with a 15.30 kick-off. PSV face FC Eindhoven in the Light Town derby on Wednesday, July 18 at 19.00 before participating in the Polish Masters in Wroclaw on 21 and 22 July. They have now added two fixtures to their programme of pre-season games by scheduling trips to PAOK FC and 1. FC Union Berlin. Cup winners PSV will face champions Ajax in the Johan Cruijff Shield contest on Sunday, August 5, for the official curtain raiser of the new season.
