PSV had invited Goes to come to the Philips Stadium on Friday afternoon to finalise the deal. Goes was head coach of the Estonia national team (2004-2007), assistant coach of Estonia (2000-2004) and coached a number of Dutch national youth teams (1996-2001), before he was named as Director of Youth Sports Team with CSKA Moscow. At De Herdgang training facilities, he will fill the void left by the departure of Wiljan Vloet. Jelle Goes has made a deliberate choice to join PSV as Academy Director after having spent many years abroad. “PSV are a big club and their youth academy has earned a solid reputation.” he said at the Philips Stadium on Friday night. “They boast a stable organisation.” Jelle Goes also cited personal reasons to come back to Holland. “We did a great job in Moscow, but I am looking forward to starting to work Eindhoven. PSV are a big club in Holland, while CSKA have a formidable reputation in Russia.” Head coach Fred Rutten was satisfied PSV have appointed Goes as their new Academy director. “I think the board of directors have made the right choice.
