Twenty-year-old striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar is going to have negotiations with sc Heerenveen today in order to round off his transfer to the Frisian club. PSV.nl interviewed him on his future.

"I am very happy indeed", felt Huntelaar, who is going to put pen to paper on a three-year deal. "Actually I have mixed feelings. We had negotiations with PSV about an extension of my contract, but I felt uncomfortable. I felt that the club did not really consider me as their future first-team striker. They were cautious and opted for a 'let?s wait and see' policy."

After having lived in the east and south of the Netherlands, Huntelaar now moves to a strong Holland Eredivisie club in the north of Holland.

"Heerenveen are a family club. I will be given an opportunity to play as a striker. And it?s up to me to whether I will be included in the starting line-up. I must make every effort at the training sessions and seize my opportunities." He has developed very well at the Dutch First Division side AGOVV last season. "I have grown physically and I can control the ball better."

Huntelaar once more emphasizes that he is content about his future. "I will probably sign a three-year deal. I think that is ample evidence of the fact that sc Heerenveen have faith in me. I am already packing my suitcases."
