On Tuesday afternoon, Fred Rutten looked ahead to PSV´s home game to FC Utrecht, who held his team to a hard-fought 0-0 draw in this season’s reverse fixture. Although PSV had a tough afternoon in Utrecht earlier this season, PSV´s head coach believes tomorrow night’s visitors would gladly settle for a point in Eindhoven. “We play at home and we look to dominate on home territory.”

Rutten held a press briefing at de Herdgang training centre on Tuesday afternoon to look ahead to PSV´s home game to FC Utrecht, who are currently lying sixth. “FC Utrecht play a compact defence, but that’s what most teams do on their travels to the Philips Stadium.” Rutten is wary of the threat posed by the pacy FC Utrecht attackers. “Their forwards are pacy and agile.”

Engelaar and Manolev

Rutten. “Orlando Engelaar is recovering well after Achilles tendon surgery and is progressing well. “ Yet the midfielder is doubtful for Wednesday. Defender Stanislav Manolev did not finish training on Tuesday, as a precaution. The Bulgarian was included in Sunday’s starting line-up against Vitesse. Kick-off time on Wednesday is 20.00 and official Jack van Hulten has been appointed to referee the game.
