Head coach Fred Rutten.
Fred Rutten was satisfied with his side’s emphatic 4-0 win over Heracles Almelo, but the PSV head coach admitted in his post-match analysis that PSV should have scored even more goals. “We conceded nothing and when Heracles Almelo had been reduced to ten men, we quickly took advantage of our numerical advantage. We could have scored even more goals, but the players enjoyed the sweet taste of success and are hungry for more wins.”
Rutten: “Hungry for more wins”
Rutten knew that his team would easy to victory once the deadlock had been broken. “We started the game brightly and Bakkal had a great opportunity to open the scoring in the very first minute. We conceded nothing and when Heracles Almelo had been reduced to ten men, we quickly took advantage of our numerical advantage. We could have scored even more goals but I am satisfied with my players´ tactical discipline. We are really happy with the win”, concluded Rutten.

Verbeek: “PSV fully deserved their win”
”We survived the first thirty minutes and just when we thought we might control the game and surprise PSV on the counter, we were reduced to ten men, which wrecked our game plan”, said Heracles Almelo manager Gertjan Verbeek in the post-match press conference with the written media. “We faced a mission impossible when they opened the scoring on the stroke of half time. We should be content we only conceded four goals. We have given our all but PSV fully deserved their win.”
