Fred Rutten: “PSV put in a disciplined display”

Head coach Fred Rutten saw his players put in a really disciplined display against FC Sibir on Thursday evening. “We were slow to get going, but we created plenty of chances and eventually scored five goals”, said Rutten at the post-match conference.

“Relief is too strong a word”, said Rutten, speaking after the game. “We all knew this was a crucial game and we were slow to get going. But as the game developed, we gradually felt more confident”, said Rutten. “We created plenty of chances and should have scored more goals in the first half. But all in all, we put in a really disciplined display against a stubborn FC Sibir side.” PSV´s head coach praised Balázs Dzsudzsák, who was outstanding tonight, for showing deadly efficiency in front of goal. “But we have a large squad with many prolific finishers.” The UEFA Europe League draw takes place in Monaco tomorrow afternoon at 13.00.
