PSV MEDIA - PSV have successfully completed negotiations with the Mexican club Chivas de Guadalajara for the transfer of defender Francisco Rodríguez. The two clubs have already reached an agreement and PSV expect to seal a deal for the player shortly. Francisco Javier Rodríguez Pinedo made his debut for Chivas de Guadalajara in October 2002. He made over 140 appearances for the club in six seasons and clinched the Mexican title with them in 2006.

Nicknamed Maza, with reference to his hometown of Mazatlán, the 26-year-old has been capped 41 caps by his country. Francisco Rodriguez, who made appearances for the national team at the World Cup 2006 in Germany, will join fellow Mexican Carlos Salcido in Eindhoven, who also made a move from Chivas de Guadalajara to PSV
